Unity (located at 21 Rosedene Ave., Hamilton, will be hosting the first PosiPalooza! (positive party). This is not "just another concert", but rather an event unlike anything you've been to before. These award winning artists are all on stage together in a format called a "round robin", which means each artist tries to do a song that links to the theme of the previous song, frequently jumping in with shared harmonies. The music is positive, uplifting and incredible, and folks say their lives have taken new direction from attending this event. Everyone is invited to bring donations to support the food bank, Neighbour to Neighbour Centre.
This musical celebration is inspired by emPower Music and Arts: a global community of Empowered artists, speakers and authors. emPower Music and Arts is partnering with Unity in order to affirm, create and celebrate a united world through music. emPower performers include Richard Mekdeci, Daniel Nahmod, Karen Taylor-Good and Sue K. Riley. This concert will be opened by the equally talented local group Simply Inspired: Emilio Zarris and Deidrey Francois, accompanied by Natalia Kolacz.
