Rockin' success

A Night At the Armouries was a wonderful show of community spirit and support for two Hamilton girls, Genna Smith, 4, Madison Smith, 10, who lost their parents and sister in a horrific car crash while on vacation in the U.S. this past June. The Canadian Paraplegic Association (CPA) Ontario held its 8th annual Wheelchair Relay NO LIMITS Challenge September 20 at Saltfleet District High School. The wheelchair challenge is an opportunity for all community members to better understand the experience of using a wheelchair, and to help eliminate perceived barriers between people with and without mobility impairments. Funds raised from the event provide the local community with the financial resources necessary to maintain services. Pictured here, Angie and John Sirianni, from Team Chachi. John was the team captain and was the highest individual fundraiser of the event, his team was also highest team fundraiser for the event and won for the fastest team. The event raised over $52,000 (the goal was $50,000).
