'The Boyfriend' is set to hit the stage

Mountain resident Elisa Sobara, 18, (seated, centre) poses with her fellow castmates in The Boyfriend. The play is the first production from Shooting Star Theatre Company, which is run by Ms. Sobara. Despite suffering from an undiagnosed joint condition which causes her bones to dislocate, Ms. Sobara has spent the past year working to organize the production. She also has the role of a school girl in the play. The Boyfriend opens tonight (August 22) at the Westside Concert Theatre at 434 King St. W. and runs until Sunday.
