Luigi Mastrangelo scored in extra time to give the Mount Hamilton Youth Soccer Club under 15 rep squad a 3-2 win over Mississauga Croatia in South Region Soccer League Cup quarter-final action at Mohawk Sports Park July 19. Kristian Ferreira and Hector Martinez scored the other goals for MHYSC.

The Reps will face East Hamilton in the cup semi-final Aug. 9 Game time and location were not available at press time.

Big come back

The Mount Hamilton Avalanche 99's boys U9 team scored four goals in the final 15 minutes for a 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Flamborough Flames at Macassa Park July 18. John Esho led the come back with three goals. Koha Topp-Nguyen scored on a penalty shot and Gabriel Abelha added a single marker for the Avalanche.

In U10 boys A action July 17, the Mount Hamilton Avalanche edged Glanbrook Toscani 2-1 on goals by Cameron Docherty and Denzel Albers-Wallace. Jason Loff scored for Glanbrook. The Mount Hamilton Avalanche U10 boys B squad battled to a 2-2 draw with the Stoney Creek Battalion July 17. Andre Ferreira and Nick Tinebra scored for the Avalanche.

In U12 girls rep action, Claudia Krupicz and Cierra Torosantucci scored the goals as the MHYSC blanked Ancaster 2-0 July 16 at Mohawk Sports Park.
