The Steel City Ironmen junior football squad head into their bye week at 5-0 after thumping the Crimson Tide 23-0 in Georgetown June 20. Steel City juniors’ next game is at Bronte Field against the Halton Cowboys July 4.
In varsity action last Saturday, the 4-1 Ironmen edged the Cumberland Panthers 9-3 and visit the Halton Cowboys tomorrow.
The varsity and junior teams are in first place in the Adam Golden Horseshoe divisions of the Ontario Varsity Football League.
The pee wee Ironmen beat the Crimson Tide 47-29 at the Acton High School grounds last Saturday and get a bye this weekend. At 3-2 the squad is in second place in the Adam Golden Horseshoe division.
