Don't ignore health and environmental issues association with gypsy moth spraying

Published on May 16, 2008

I support the opponents of the gypsy moth spray program. It is unethical to ignore the major health and environmental issues consequent to spraying. Studies show that Btk can be fatal to people who use anti-ulcer medication. Btk inhibits the DNA system.

The manufacturer lists Btk under drug code 12280 and warns that it is a sensitizer and should be kept out of the reach of children.

Btk spraying must stop and other harmless means should be utilized to control the gypsy moth.

We eat those plants and animals that have ingested the poison so in that way it affects us too!

Are humans and the eco-system not important? Must we blindly follow the leaders who are destroying us and our planet?
