The Ciannavei family children have been playing basketball for a very long time but this rep season was the most successful. Marina, 17, Shauna, 15, and Michael, 12, play school and rep basketball. The youngest, Daniel, 10, plays school ball and is trying football this year along with soccer.

To make it to the medal round and finish in the top four at the Ontario Cup is an honour and considered a huge accomplishment for any rep basketball team. Marina plays for Transway juvenile girls and they finished 4th at the Ontario Cup in division 1. Shauna plays for Hamilton Wildcats Major Midget girls; they also finished 4th at the Ontario Cup (division 6). Michael has bragging rights because his team, Hamilton Wildcats Major Atom Boys, was awarded the gold medal and they are division 7 provincial champions. All three Ciannavei's contributed to their team's successes and were proud of their accomplishments this season

Michael and Daniel attend Regina Mundi Catholic Elementary School and both play on the junior boys basketball and volleyball teams.

Marina attends St. Thomas More Secondary School and plays senior girls basketball. Her school team won the city champioships, GHAC chamionships and was awarded the bronze medal at OFSAA AAAA in Windsor in November 2007.
