A man wanted in connection to a knifing at a central Mountain beer store has been picked up by the Hamilton police fugitive apprehension unit.
Philip Lee Szostak, 27, was wanted for aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, four breaches of probation and other weapon-related charges after an Aug. 14 incident where a man was slashed with a knife outside an Upper James Street beer store.
Acting on a tip, officers arrested Mr. Szostak at a home in Binbrook Saturday night.
