Community groups, schools and businesses on the Mountain are being asked to contribute to the ninth annual Kyle Hoult Memorial Food Drive that runs through the month of March.

Despite being diagnosed with leukemia at age six, Kyle continued to raise food and money donations for Neighbour to Neighbour Centre. His wish was that no child go hungry. When Kyle died in March 2001 at age 14, his family continued the food raising effort.

It has become an annual event each March and has raised over 10,000 pounds of food for Neighbour to Neighbour Centre.

This year’s food drive wraps up on March 29. Kyle’s parents, Lorraine and Jim, will also be at the Athens Street food bank from 11:30 a. m. to 1 p. m. that day to accept food bank donations in memory of their son.
