Knights win GHAC, head to OFSAA tournament

St. ThomasMore is heading to the OFSAA AAAA basketball showdown.
The Knights earned the honour after beating Burlington Nelson 47-37 in the Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conference championship.
STM led 22-13 at half and stretched the lead to as much as 15 in the third. Nelson made some three-pointers late in the game, but the Knights were able to convert their free throws for the 10-point win.
Jermaine Barr had 18 points on a perfect 8-8 shooting night. Zach Angelini finished with 10, Lamar Barr had nine and Paul Petruccelli made all four of his free throws in the fourth quarter to close the game.
The OFSAA AAAA tournament is March 8-10 in Whitby.
