Jul 08, 2010
Canada Day in Cambridge was a holiday to remember for the Steel City Ironmen varsity squad.
Quarterback Zach Lascelle, receiver Curtis Pryce and running back Tyson Vanzie scored touchdowns to lead the Ironmen to a 28-3 win over the Lions.
Defensive back Eric Cornell added a major off a pass interception.
Junior action saw the Lions edge the Ironmen 13-10 and Cambridge beat the Ironmen 21-10 in the pee wee game. Justin Lloyd scored a touchdown for Steel City.
All three Ironmen teams are on a bye week, but will be back in action July 17 when the varsity squad travels to Sault Ste. Marie, the junior team is at Newmarket and the pee wee team is in Brampton.
